JOB SUMMARY:
Calling all Financial Accountants within the Chemical / FMCG industry

JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client, a leading and well know FMCG / Chemical Company based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town requires a competent and experienced Financial Accountant to join their team.

Minimum of 1-2 years Financial Accountant experience in a FMCG or similar environment
Experience in a Manufacturing and Distribution environment with Cost Management Accounting experience
Computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Navision Business Solutions would be advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of Economic and Accounting Principles and Practices
High working standards, ethics, tolerance to stress and integrity
Ability to use initiative, judgement, critical thinking and decision making
Customer service orientated and professionalism
SA Citizens only
Must be Criminal Clear
Must reside in the Greater Cape Town Area

Duties / Responsibilities:

Management reporting and statutory payment duties include: reviewing monthly management account file; monitoring, actioning and reconciling monthly and quarterly costing recoveries; completing monthly management accounts; preparing monthly reports and; process and submit monthly VAT returns.
Budgeting duties include: assisting with the collation of information around annual budget setting; capturing and maintaining all budgets on Navision and; reporting monthly performance on budgets set.
Financial administration duties include: reviewing and signing off all creditors account reconciliations monthly; review monthly creditors control schedule; maintaining cash flow planning; be the custodian of data integrity within Navision and; resolve any customer queries not adequately resolved by subordinates.
Analysis of customer data duties include: data analysis of customer trends weekly and monthly; assisting with financial information for customer reports and; conducting customer risk analysis.
Property Company – Spokeshave Property Investments duties include: reviewing monthly management account file; complete monthly management accounts; process and submit bi-monthly VAT returns and; liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
