Financial Analyst

The business requires a Financial Analyst for Programme Boost. The objective of the programme is to move the ERP solution from on-premises to a Cloud solution, utilising a standard way of work (Global Template). This programme have many projects.

Responsibilities:

The Financial Analyst will:

• Analyse monthly project budget performance against plans, identify and recommend operational and process improvement.
• Supports leadership decision making with analysis and reports.
• Provide efficient accounting and cost control across complex projects and programs of work with multiple stakeholder interests and interdependencies
• Driving improvements in process administration in adherence with financial standards and risk management.
• Develop and drive compliance pertaining to project management costs ensuring alignment of budget and cost in relation to financial data validation.
• Provide cost controls advice to stakeholders in relation to contract management.
• Assisting with maintaining the integrity of management information systems and processes
• Track the performance of the initiatives against the business case
• Raise risks relating to the initiative, pre and post implementation

Qualification required:

• 3y Degree/diploma
• Financial Qualification

Experience required:

• Good understanding of the Telco environment
• 3 to 5 yearsâ?? experience as a financial analyst
• Be able to prepare a valuation / business case
• Understanding of strategy framework
• Possess a financial qualification
• Good experience as a financial analyst
• Understanding of strategy framework

Key deliverables:

Project Business Case

• This provides justification for the investment and demonstrates that the Project is sensible, after accounting for risk. Two business cases are required the initial business case G0 and the final business case G3. The G0 Business case is completed by the FA and the G3 by the Finance Business Partner. It is, however, the FAs responsibility to handover and ensure the business case is finalised.
• Support the definition and maintenance of the financial framework
• Contribute to defining, implementing and maintaining standards, templates and tools for financial analysis using inputs from users.
• Support defining, implementing and maintaining the financial cycle
• Source and collate information informing reports, considering interdependencies, the repositories for raw data and their owners.
• Maintain raw data following defined processes to ensure it remains reliable, timely, relevant and consistent.
• Draw information from information management systems and other relevant sources for reporting.
• Consolidate and quality check raw data following defined processes.
• Conduct analysis on raw data for input into reporting.
• Compose raw and analysed data to produce reporting.
• Measure adherence to Governance processes rectify non-adherence to Governance processes.
• Prepare reporting
• Prepare reporting for financial analysis in line with defined standards, templates and tools, on the delivery initiatives in the approved project portfolio, ensuring value-add to the business.
• Submit draft reporting to Senior and General Manager for review.
• Distribute reporting in line with the reporting framework.
• Provide reporting information/quantitative and qualitative data to stakeholders upon request.
• Prepare reporting in line with the defined reporting cycle.
• Participate in post-project evaluations and provide input
