POSITION INFO:

Candidates who apply for this role must be available immediately to start with previous experience in the advertising industry. The successful candidate will be working from home.

My client is looking for an energetic financial business partner to join their team on a contract basis until June 2021. This role will be for a maternity cover. They want someone with excellent communication skills and a hard-working individual with FMCG industry experience.

Primary objective:

• Team of 15 people that reports to the UK team
• Year end will be in February 2021
• Must have advertising industry experience
• Full financial management function  
• Produce and distribute monthly management report and agreed time scales
• Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the General Manager Finance and functional heads
• Monthly comparison and reporting based on Budget versus Actuals
• SARS correspondence, audits and preparation and submitting of returns
• Manage Accounts department
• Reviewing and processing payments for the company
• Drive efficiency with the team and set up controls for shared services
• Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures, and systems across all teams
• Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting
• Maintenance of accounting system allocations, reconciling of General Ledger, Creditors, Debtors and
• Reviewing and implementation of accounting procedures, standards and controls.
• Setup of Project accounting, bill of materials, procedures, standards and controls.
• Ad hoc administration task
• Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process
• Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are produced on an accurate and timely basis to include bank reconciliation, debtors, creditors, and inter-company accounts

Education:

Chartered Accountant CA(SA)

Newly qualified CA(SA) – 2 years post articles

3 years management experience

Extensive experience in the FMCG industry
