POSITION INFO:
An exciting opportunity exists for a results-driven Financial Controller to join a leading name in secondary power distribution, based in Gauteng. This role is the most senior finance position in the South African business and will take full ownership of the financial activities of the company, leading a local finance team and reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, with daily collaboration with the General Manager of South Africa.

This is a broad, strategic, and hands-on role suited for a qualified CA(SA) with strong commercial acumen, analytical depth, and leadership ability. The company operates in the manufacturing and engineering space, delivering medium-voltage switchgear solutions across global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and audit readiness
Manage treasury, tax, and banking functions
Support strategic decision-making and business partnering
Oversee system improvements (Microsoft D365) and financial modelling
Lead and develop the local finance team

Skills Required:

CA(SA) qualification essential
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven leadership, influencing, and team development skills
A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
