The business requires a strong finance professional to take full ownership of the bookkeeping and financial control function, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial records across the Group.

Working closely with finance leadership and external auditors, you will play a key role in strengthening financial processes, improving efficiencies, and ensuring audit readiness across all entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of end-to-end bookkeeping across multiple local and international insurance entities
• Manage and process intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate balances and timely close
• Prepare accounts up to trial balance, maintaining clean and accurate general ledgers
• Execute month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules
• Perform and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving variances
• Ensure accuracy across key accounts including bank, VAT, payroll, debtors, creditors, and intercompany balances
• Support audit processes by preparing high-quality documentation and liaising with auditors and stakeholders
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies through better use of systems, Excel, and workflows

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping

• 7–10+ years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong experience within insurance, financial services, or regulated multi-entity environments
• Proven exposure to full-function bookkeeping and month-end close processes

• Advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations)
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems
• Strong understanding of financial controls and reconciliation processes
