SUMMARY:
Lexdan Select is assisting a high-growth FMCG business in the food and beverage industry with their search for a Financial Controller based in Springs, Johannesburg.
This role allows for some flexibility, but is mostly office based.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, purchase order authorisation, bank reconciliations, and payment cycles Develop and implement financial SOPs, internal controls, and governance frameworks from the ground up Manage system implementation and optimisation across the ERP and reporting platforms Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports for local and international stakeholders Oversee revenue recognition, rebate calculations, and retailer-specific accounting Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation, including company tax calculations Lead contract reviews and negotiations, supporting the business through tender processes and flagging legal risk areas Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team - assessing capabilities, chairing weekly meetings, and setting team objectives Desired Experience & Qualification Postgraduate accounting qualification (BCom Hons or equivalent) as a minimum Completed articles (SAICA, SAIPA, or equivalent) Minimum 5 years post-articles experience, with strong FMCG exposure Proven experience in a financial controller or senior finance management role Strong technical accounting knowledge including IFRS South African tax knowledge (including company tax) Experience managing a finance team
