POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements BCom in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Completed SAICA\/SAIPA articles. 2+ years' relevant post-articles experience. Experience in a full-function accounting environment. Previous management or team leadership experience. Exposure to mining, manufacturing or a similar operational environment would be advantageous. Strong Excel and accounting system experience. Key Responsibilities Manage the full accounting function, including transaction processing, general ledger, journals, reconciliations and financial reporting. Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and management reports, overseeing month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts and cash flow, analysing financial performance, variances and key business drivers. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accurate, compliant and timely reporting. Manage statutory, tax and audit requirements, including supporting external and internal audits. Provide financial insights and guidance to management and operational stakeholders to support business planning and decision-making. Lead and develop finance staff while driving improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting. Key Skills & Competencies Strong full-function accounting, financial reporting and commercial acumen. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail. Confident leadership, people management and stakeholder engagement abilities. Proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership and accountability. Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
