SUMMARY:
A large-scale distribution and services group is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer to take on a pivotal role as the 2IC to the CEO, driving strategy, governance, and financial leadership across multiple business functions.

This is an exciting opportunity to be deeply involved in shaping the business, from guiding strategy and driving operational efficiencies, to ensuring long-term sustainability and growth. As the 2IC to the CEO, you will have visibility across the entire business and play a central role in steering it into the future.

Other Duties Include:

Driving financial strategy, governance, and compliance in line with company objectives
Leading financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and hedging practices
Managing stakeholder relationships, including direct Board engagement and reporting
Overseeing HR, IT, and other business support functions alongside finance
Building and mentoring a high-performing team while fostering a culture of excellence

Education:

Qualified CA(SA)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

8 to 10 years’ experience in a senior financial management role
At least 3 to 4 years at an executive or Board reporting level
Background in subsidiary reporting or experience within a listed group environment
Strong management experience with oversight across multiple business functions
Technical knowledge of hedging, IFRS, tax, and compliance frameworks
Hyperion / HFM exposure highly advantageous
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
