POSITION INFO:
Our client, a globally recognised FinTech leader operating across Singapore, the USA, Australia and South Africa, is seeking a commercially astute Financial Director to anchor its finance function while the business scales at digital speed. This is not a traditional back-office role it is a visible, executive leadership position at the centre of innovation, growth and international expansion.
Based in Century City (Cape Town) within a flexible hybrid model, you will lead locally while collaborating closely with global stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and complex revenue environments.

As Financial Director, you will take full ownership of the South African finance function while partnering with global leadership to execute international strategy, safeguard compliance and deliver meaningful financial insight that drives performance.
You will operate at the intersection of technology, strategy and global finance, influencing key decisions that support profitability, scalability and sustainable growth.

• Lead and oversee the full finance function, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Ensure IFRS-compliant reporting and alignment with Group standards across multiple jurisdictions
• Drive tax and regulatory compliance (VAT, PAYE, GST, corporate tax and transfer pricing) across SA, USA, Australia and Singapore
• Manage revenue recognition, deferred revenue accounting and complex reporting structures
• Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, risk management and external audit processes
• Partner with executive leadership to deliver strategic insights, financial modelling and profitability improvement
• Support M&A, integrations and finance transformation initiatives while driving process optimisation and automation

• CA(SA), AGA(SA), CIMA or ACCA qualification
• 10+ years of progressive financial management experience
• Proven experience within multinational environments (essential)
• Strong expertise in deferred revenue accounting
• Solid understanding of multi-jurisdictional tax compliance
• Board-level exposure with the confidence to influence strategic decisions
• Advanced Excel and strong ERP systems knowledge (Navision, SAP or similar)
• Exceptional financial modelling and analytical capability
• A strategic mindset combined with sharp commercial acumen
