As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the process of converting financial transactions into accurate and timely financial reports both locally and for group reporting, for ensuring that the organization's financial records and reports comply with accounting standards and regulations and managing the reporting and administrative finance functions.

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS

• Managing the month-end and year-end close process: responsible for ensuring that the month-end and year-end close process is completed accurately and on time, which includes reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and reporting to management and Group.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards: responsible for ensuring that the organization's financial records and reports comply with accounting standards and regulations.
• Managing the accounting team: Managing the accounting team, which may include supervising staff, setting performance goals, and providing training and development opportunities.
• Identifying process improvement opportunities: Responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the R2R process, such as automating manual tasks, streamlining workflows, and implementing new technologies.
• Managing financial reporting: Responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of financial reports to internal and external stakeholders, such as management, shareholders, and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinating with other departments: Working closely with other departments such as procurement, operations, and sales to ensure that all the financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Managing internal controls: Responsible for ensuring that the organization has robust internal controls in place to protect the integrity of its financial records and reports.
• Managing external audits: Responsible for coordinating with external auditors to ensure that the organization's financial statements are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.

Preferred Experience

• CA(SA) qualification
• 5 years’ financial management experience
• Experience within a FMCG/manufacturing environment advantageous.
• Experience in working on business management and accounting software
