Our client in the financial services industry is on the hunt for a Senior Financial Accountant who can handle complex numbers with the precision of an actuary and the foresight of a CFO-in-the-making.

Now, they’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant with a head for numbers and a heart for financial integrity to help steer the ship with insight and impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee payments, journals, and cashbook processing
Maintain and strengthen financial controls and regulatory compliance
Liaise with external auditors, internal stakeholders, and tax advisors
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Stay up-to-date with FSCA regulations, IFRS, and financial services compliance frameworks

Experience and Skills Required:

â CA(SA) – Fully qualified Chartered Accountant
â 3+ years post-articles experience (preferably in financial services, insurance, or asset management)
â Experience with regulatory reporting, risk management, or financial modelling is advantageous
â Strong grasp of IFRS and financial services industry legislation
â Detail-oriented with a big-picture mindset and a drive for continuous improvement
