SUMMARY:
Are you a detail oriented and proactive finance professional looking to grow your career in the mining sector? We are seeking an Assistant Financial Manager to support financial planning, reporting, and operational efficiency in a dynamic and high-stakes environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for numbers, and an interest in contributing to the financial success of a mining operation.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts, reconciliations, and financial records.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Monitor financial performance, cost centers, and mining project profitability.
Collaborate with operational teams to resolve financial queries and provide timely financial insights.
Assist with audits, tax submissions, and statutory reporting requirements.
Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal control measures.
Mentor and support junior finance staff as needed.
Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.

ð¹ Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance
Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance,
Manufacturing, or project-based industries preferred.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Pastel) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-driven.
