SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists with a leading South African manufacturing company for an experienced Financial Manager. Reporting to the CFO, this role delivers full financial oversight in a highâvolume manufacturing environment, with strong emphasis on cost management, product costing, and management accounting. The position drives financial performance, ensures the integrity of standard costing, and provides impactful commercial insights to support operational leaders and strategic decision making.

POSITION INFO:

Lead, manage, and develop the finance team
Drive a culture of accountability, accuracy, and high performance
Conduct performance reviews and support team development
Build strong crossâfunctional relationships across the business
Ensure finance effectively supports operational and commercial performance
Support the CFO in executing financial strategy and Group objectives
Deliver financial modelling and scenario analysis for decisionâmaking
Identify and drive costâsaving and revenue optimisation initiatives
Represent finance in crossâfunctional projects and initiatives
Prepare and present weekly financial dashboards for management

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5–10 years of progressive postâqualification finance experience
A minimum of 5 years within a manufacturing or industrial environment (Essential)
Proven handsâon expertise in standard costing, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, and manufacturing variance analysis (Essential)
Experience within the mining consumables sector advantageous
Exposure to group reporting and multiâentity consolidation
Strong technical knowledge of standard and activityâbased costing methodologies, ERP systems (Sage Evolution highly advantageous)
Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial models, pivot tables, macros)
Solid understanding of IFRS and South African tax legislation (VAT, Income Tax, Payroll Taxes, BBBEE)
Exposure to business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or advanced Excel dashboards considered a plus

Qualification:
Fully qualified ACMA/CGMA [Essential]
B.Com Accounting/B.Com Management Accounting or B.Com Financial Management
Post-graduate qualification (Honours / CTA / MBA) advantageous
