They’re now looking for someone who can step in and take real ownership of the finance function, someone comfortable operating in a busy, operationally driven business where finance is expected to partner closely with the rest of the organisation, not sit on the sidelines.

Duties

Oversee full finance function, reporting, and compliance
Manage month-end/year-end close and reporting deadlines
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
Handle budgets, forecasts, and detailed variance analysis
Ensure regulatory and accounting compliance
Oversee cash flow, working capital, and financial planning
Manage audits and liaise with external auditors
Review reconciliations, including bank and intercompany
Lead and develop the finance team
Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
Partner with operations on performance, cost control, and decision-making
Maintain strong financial governance and risk management

Skills & Experience:

BCom in Accounting or related field (essential)
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles (advantageous)
CIMA (advantageous)
Minimum 5–7 years’ relevant finance experience (non-negotiable)
Proven team leadership and management experience
Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or distribution environments advantageous
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP / SAGE preferred)
