An exciting opportunity has become available for a commercially minded Financial Manager to join a growing and operationally driven business.
This role is ideal for a CA(SA) who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys being closely involved in business operations. You'll play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, driving operational performance, strengthening controls, and providing meaningful insights that influence decision-making across the organisation.
Working alongside senior leadership and operational teams, you'll move beyond traditional reporting responsibilities to identify opportunities, challenge performance, and deliver tangible commercial value.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly management accounts and operational financial reports Take ownership of reporting accuracy across revenue, costs, margins, profitability, cash flow, and working capital Analyse business performance against budgets, forecasts, and operational targets Translate financial results into clear and actionable insights on trends, risks, opportunities, and business performance Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across multiple business units Partner with operational leaders to enhance profitability, improve efficiencies, and strengthen cost management initiatives Provide financial input into pricing strategies, contract negotiations, tenders, and client profitability assessments Maintain and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and compliance standards Support internal and external audit processes Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process optimisation, and enhanced reporting capabilities Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and broader operational finance activities Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement Minimum Requirements Qualifications: CA(SA) Designation Non-negotiable Skills and Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience within an operational and\/or commercial finance environment Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling expertise Proven ability to partner effectively with operational stakeholders and executive leadership teams Sound understanding of profitability analysis, working capital management, and cost optimisation Demonstrated success in improving financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities Commercially astute with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
