SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Group Financial Manager

POSITION INFO:

Assume responsibility for managing the accounts budgets and financial control activities. Meet the information needs of the organisation government and statutory bodies. Prepare annual long-term capital and operating budgets. Responsible for cash flow statements and forecasts. Essential that you reside in the Northern Cape.

Qualification, Skills and Experience:

BCom Financial Accounting or equivalent
CA(SA) or CIMA qualification would be an advantage.
5 years of working experience with at least 3 years operating at Group Level.
Managerial experience.
Experience in managing multiple financial operations/business units.
Corporate governance experience
Ability to plan, co-ordinate motivate and control staff
Self-motivated and the ability to achieve set goals.
Team player.

Key Result Areas:

Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the business unit such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
Perform accounts payable and receivable function (allocation of payments, reconciliation monthly)
Load payments (payroll and creditors) on the system.
Prepare accounting forecasts and budgets including reconciling to actuals.
Review customer age analysis, and present Group Finance Manager.
Reconcile deposits in bank statement to invoices.
Review salaries journals and reconcile to payroll information.
Manage and coordinate monthly reporting, budgeting and forecast processes.
Prepare management accounts and present them to management.
Prepare and monitor cash flow.
Assess customer profitability and overall productivity.
Liaising with accountant teams.
