JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is seeking an experienced financial manager to assist with the in-office accounting function and management of the financial team. The candidate must have previous proven experience in a financial management role as well as the correct qualifications (CIMA/ APA) and must be able to work under pressure. The candidate will be reporting to the Group Financial Manager and Managing director directly and be responsible for all monthly accounting requirements.

Responsibilities:

Management of the day to the day finance function
Delivery of a clean trial balance at month-end for review by senior staff
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Management of financial team
Monthly payroll
Monthly journal processing
Monitoring of Fixed Asset Register
Review of all underlying teamwork including debtors cycle/ creditors cycle/ bank etc.
Loading of payments on to the bank and cash flow maintenance
SARS return submissions
Assist the Group Financial Manager with ad hoc tasks/projects

Requirements:

Relevant financial qualification
Chartered Accountant (non-negotiable)
3-5 years post qualification experience
Strong excel skills
Sage 200
Payroll experience
SARS reporting
