SUMMARY:
Seeking a Financial Modelling Specialist for the Mining sector.

POSITION INFO:
Are you a seasoned Financial Modelling Specialist with deep roots in the mining industry? We’re looking for an exceptional talent to step into a strategic role where your expertise will directly shape the financial future of major mining operations.
This role is tailored for a middle- to senior-level professional with at least 7 years of hands-on financial modelling experience in the mining sector, and a strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and infrastructure finance.

What You’ll Do:

Design, develop, and refine complex financial models for both short-term budgets and long-term life-of-mine plans.
Collaborate with operational and cross-functional teams to benchmark, analyze, and validate key inputs and assumptions.
Deliver accurate and insightful forecasts, scenario analyses, and trend interpretations to support high-impact decisions.
Provide actionable recommendations on cost optimization and performance improvements.
Lead the creation of comprehensive financial reports and investor-ready presentations.
Engage directly with internal stakeholders, investors, lenders, legal teams, and Government entities to support project and funding initiatives.
Support business development efforts including tender processes and strategic project evaluation.

What You’ll Bring:

A BSc in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (BBusSc or BCom in Financial Mathematics, Accounting, or Statistics is advantageous).
Proven track record in financial modelling with strong exposure to mining and infrastructure finance.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills with an unwavering attention to numerical accuracy.
Sound knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, taxation, and the mining industry.
Exceptional analytical thinking, communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience in strategic decision support and interacting with senior stakeholders across functions.
