Financial / Office Administrator

SUMMARY:
Our client, a dynamic company in the maritime and space, is seeking a skilled Finance and Office Administrator to join their close-knit, forward-thinking team. This role offers the opportunity to support the CFO and CEO in managing financial operations, from accurate data capture and reporting to creditor payments and compliance with regulatory requirements while also providing flexible administrative support to free them up for their strategic priorities.

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately capture financial transactions and maintain financial records.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow; liaise with CFO and CEO to align income and expenses.
• Generate client invoices and manage relationships to encourage timely payments.
• Understand payment terms and manage creditor payments.
• Maintain online banking, set up payments, and ensure CFO or CEO authorisation.
• Review bank statements to capture data, monitor charges, and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare for annual audits and liaise with CFO and auditors for financial year-end.
• Maintain organized financial records to comply with SARS regulations and company policy.
• Manage company secretarial records and statutory compliance.
• Manage logistic documents as required for tax and banking regulations.
• Support day-to-day office operations including running errands such as picking up documents or visas.
• Provide flexible support wherever needed to free up senior management for higher-level tasks.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in using financial tools (Xero, Pastel, SimplePay, etc.).
• Driver’s license.
• Willingness to assist with a variety of administrative and ad hoc tasks.

• BCom Accounting or BAcc.
• Experience with SARS eFiling and tax laws.
• Experience with supporting annual audit.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
