JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Chemicals space is currently in the market for a Financial Planning & Analytics Accountant to join their dynamic team. The incumbent MUST be a qualified CA(SA) and a minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar position. Please see the performance area criteria below for a more detailed description of the required responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

CA (SA)
CIMA: 3 years business experience.
Knowledge of accounting and finance processes
Proficient in MS Office suite’
SAP

Performance Areas (Responsibilities):

Oversee the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process. This involves:

Volumes data, ammonia pricing, and inflation parameters.

Opening and closing forecast periods in SAP for fixed costs and volumes, as well as monthly for assessments.
Running valuation runs in SAP and resolving any issues arising from those valuation runs – including working with Supply Chain to understand fluctuations in volumes.
Reconciliation of front-end demand to data loaded for intercompany demand
Developing and maintaining models for the allocation of costs to products and customers for the group and updating rules in SAP.
Analysing and interrogating pricing for forecasts and budgets and validating against actuals for the current and prior years.
Analysing impact of key variables such as exchange rate and ammonia price.
Updating of Transfer prices based on the defined parameters and distribution thereof to the business
Completion and distribution of monthly actual costing runs for the group
Management and Timely completion of the FI-CO month end function
Provide Management account information to enable decision making
