Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll oversee the day-to-day finance function while supporting reporting, compliance, and operational finance activities. This role combines strong technical accounting with leadership responsibilities, making it an excellent stepping stone towards a future Financial Manager position. Working within a dynamic international environment, you'll gain exposure to group finance, foreign exchange transactions, and cross-border business operations. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Oversee month-end and year-end financial processes Review journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts Assist with the preparation of Annual Financial Statements Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information Tax & Compliance Manage SARS submissions, including VAT and statutory returns Ensure compliance with tax legislation and company policies Support external audits and year-end reporting requirements Maintain strong financial controls and governance standards Group Finance & Operations Support group reporting and financial analysis Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting Exposure to SADC foreign exchange transactions and cross-border finance Partner with operational teams to improve financial performance Leadership & Team Support Supervise and mentor junior finance staff Review work for accuracy and compliance Drive continuous improvement within finance processes Foster a culture of accountability and high performance Job Experience and Skills Required BCom Accounting or Finance Completed SAICA articles preferred Approximately 2 years post-articles experience Experience within manufacturing or retail environments highly advantageous Proven SARS submission experience Exposure to SADC foreign exchange transactions beneficial Strong technical accounting and reporting skills Advanced Excel and ERP system experience Who We're Looking For Ambitious and career-driven Strong technical accounting capability A confident communicator with leadership potential Analytical with exceptional attention to detail Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment Able to work Saturdays (09:00-12:00) as part of the role requirements This role offers far more than traditional accounting responsibilities.
