SUMMARY:
A dynamic and fast-growing organisation based in Johannesburg North is seeking a Financial Systems Engineer to join its Information Technology team.This hybrid role offers a combination of office-based and remote work while supporting a global financial systems environment.

The successful candidate will support and enhance Oracle E-Business Suite financial applications, assist in troubleshooting system issues, and work closely with business stakeholders to ensure optimal system performance.

This role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented individual who enjoys problem-solving and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Provide support for Oracle E-Business Suite applications including Financials, Inventory, Projects, Purchasing, and iProcurement
Assist in troubleshooting system issues and perform root cause analysis
Monitor and manage system tickets through ServiceNow, ensuring timely updates and resolution
Work with Oracle Support and internal IT teams to resolve system-related issues
Support month-end financial close processes across subledgers and general ledger
Assist with Oracle patch analysis, testing, and deployments
Participate in system upgrades, rollouts, and testing (UAT)
Identify opportunities to improve system processes and operational efficiency
Support business users with system-related queries and enhancements
Document processes and maintain system support documentation
Collaborate with internal IT teams including QA, developers, and business analysts

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
Minimum 2–4 years’ experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite or similar ERP systems
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
Experience working with SQL queries and relational databases (e.g. TOAD or similar)
Basic understanding of finance and accounting processes is advantageous
Experience working in a corporate or global systems environment is beneficial
Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders
Ability to work independently and within a team
