SUMMARY:
A dynamic logistics company in Pretoria is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant with 3–5 years’ experience to join our finance team. The company provides efficient transport and supply chain solutions across South Africa, and we are committed to operational excellence, accuracy, and compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial reporting, analysis, and supporting strategic financial decisions

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities / Duties

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage the general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, taxation, and internal policies.
Prepare management accounts and financial reports for senior management.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Monitor operational costs, transport expenses, and financial performance.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (BCom Accounting/Finance).
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in logistics, transport, or supply chain industries.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax compliance, and cost accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
