Key Responsibilities:
As our Financial and Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• 🔧 Financial Systems Management:
  • Oversee and optimize financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Implement controls and automation to streamline financial operations.
• 📊 Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS and internal policies.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• 📈 Management Accounts:
  • Compile monthly management accounts for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and commentary to support strategic decision-making.
• 📋 Regulatory Requirements:
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including SARS, CIPC, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Prepare and submit B-BBEE reports and support certification processes.
• 📅 Year-End Reporting & Auditing:
  • Lead year-end financial close processes and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries efficiently.
• 💰 Budgeting & Financial Planning:
  • Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with department heads.
  • Forecast financial performance and support long-term strategic planning.

• ✅ Experience in a legal or professional services environment is essential.
• ✅ Strong understanding of foreign currencies and multi-currency transactions.
• ✅ Proven experience in B-BBEE reporting and document certification.
• ✅ Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage, CaseWare, Pastel, or similar).
• ✅ Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• ✅ Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance (CIMA/SAIPA/SAICA advantageous).
