Job Summary: Financial Manager
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
•Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance – NQF Level 7 or higher.
•CIMA, CA(SA) or equivalent qualification advantageous.
•5+ years’ experience in a finance environment, with at least 3 years in a management role.
•Experience managing multiple entities within a group structure.
•Strong experience in financial reporting, tax, and consolidations.
•ERP system experience (Syspro advantageous).
•Advanced Excel skills required.
•Proven track record in managing diverse books/accounts.
•Team management and leadership experience required.
•Experience in project management and system implementation advantageous.
•Experience with multi-country tax environments advantageous.
•Tax practitioner experience or working towards registration advantageous.

Main Duties/Key Results Areas:
Financial Management & Operations
Oversee the full financial function across multiple entities, including:
•Accounts Payable
•Inventory
•Invoicing
•Banking
•Reporting
•Operations & Logistics (where applicable)
•Ensure strong financial controls are implemented, monitored, and maintained.
•Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled within the correct entities.
•Review reconciliations and reports prior to submission to senior management.
Group Accounting & Technical Function
•Lead monthly and year-end group consolidations.
•Assist with the compilation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS).
•Oversee and review VAT submissions for all entities.
•Manage income tax planning and submission of tax returns across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
•Ensure compliance with international and local tax regulations in all applicable regions.
•Manage intercompany accounting, billbacks, and eliminations.
•Maintain and oversee fixed asset registers and ensure audit compliance.
•Oversee instalment sales and financing agreements across the group.
•Manage and respond to SARS audits and queries across all entities.
•Assist with and coordinate the annual external financial audit process, including preparation of audit files and supporting schedules.
•Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
Cashflow & Financial Planning
•Oversee daily and monthly cashflow management and forecasting.
•Monitor working capital, cost drivers, and implement efficiency improvements.
•Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve profitability and cash generation.
Leadership & Team Management
•Manage and develop finance team members across functions.
•Provide guidance, training, and performance management.
•Ensure accountability and delivery across all areas of responsibility.
Stakeholder Management
•Engage with internal and external stakeholders including:
oDirectors and Senior Management
oAuditors
oBanks
oSARS and regulatory bodies
oSuppliers and customers
•Act as a key finance business partner to operational teams.
Systems, Projects & Continuous Improvement
•Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
•Lead implementation of new systems, reporting tools, and automation initiatives.
•Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions across the group.
Reporting
•Prepare and submit accurate and timely monthly management accounts for all entities.
•Review financial results and provide commentary on variances and performance.
•Deliver reports to senior management and directors within agreed deadlines.
•Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
