Fixed income Trader

POSITION INFO:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide Tiered clients with regular, quality, asset class specific, market intelligence
• Revenue generating focus (be proactive and able to take initiative)
• Manage and execute orders with due care and accountability
• Generate and distribute maintenance research/marketing intelligence for Fixed Income
• Generate and distribute bespoke or new ongoing research products/ideas
• Patriciate in and arrange regular client interaction (as well as roadshows)
• Timeous responses to client queries
• Participation in morning meetings

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification (must have a working knowledge of Statistics and Economics)
• Completed all applicable exchange exams (RPE)
• Relevant experience with sufficient experience in the Fixed Income market in a related role
• Proficient on trading/information systems (Bloomberg, Nutron, YieldX, Hermes)
• Strong interest in Fixed Income, minimum 3 years sell side trader experience
• Must be current with market drivers and conditions/news
• Must be current with share specific drivers and news
• Advanced Excel skills (including VBA)
• Proficient on trading/information systems (Bloomberg, Nutron, YieldX, Hermes)
