SUMMARY:
FOOD SAFETY & QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
KZN - CATO RIDGE
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Food Safety & QA Specialist to oversee, implement, and maintain food safety management systems.
Must have valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities âDesign, implement, and maintain robust food safety management systems, policies, and standard operating procedures. âLead preparation for and manage external audits, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards. âMaintain HACCP principles and leverage direct experience with FSSC 22000 (specifically Intertek standards) to uphold high-quality control. Oversee and conduct lab testing, sample analysis, and quality verification processes. Perform regular internal audits, risk assessments, and staff training to ensure continuous alignment with safety regulations. Requirements & Qualifications: Experience in the food manufacturing or food processing industry. âProven experience with HACCP implementation and management. âExplicit experience with Intertek \/ FSSC 22000 frameworks. âStrong background in food safety management systems and lab testing methodologies. Proven track record of creating and enforcing policies, procedures, and quality protocols
