JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a manufacturing concern (dairy) in Paarl is seeking a dynamic and energetic Food Service Sales Manager to join their team.

The purpose of this position is to generate sales in the food service industry. The person in this position will be required to maintain existing relationships and create awareness around the additional products that are available. The position will require of the person to build new relationships and grow sales opportunities.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Administration

Analysing and reporting on sales data
Reporting on sales opportunity and growth
Assisting production team with stock forecasting requirements

Co-ordinating

Scheduling and organising tradeshows as required
Organising specials as required
Ensure that client reviews (end users and food service agents) are administered to retrieve relevant information.

Finance

Following up on outstanding debtors as required

Activation

Expand listings of new lines with food service agents
Assisting the client in recognising the financial benefits of product options
Developing relationships with Food Service agents & end users (restaurants, hotels etc )
Formulating a better understanding of the end user’s requirements and utilising in sales strategy.

REQUIREMENTS

Ideally a minimum of 5 years in the hospitality industry as a manager or rep for a FMCG Company (preferably Dairy)
Outgoing, friendly, engaging personality
Goal driven
Self-manage
Structured work ethic - providing feedback & reporting
Grade 12
Business savvy – good understanding of food costing

SALARY

This is an ideal opportunity for a person that is wanting to be self-employed within an already established market. The remuneration package will be based on a fixed monthly income and a commission structure.
