JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the FMCG industry is seeking a Food Technologist with experience in beverages to join their growing team in Sandton, Gauteng.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: Food Technologist (Beverages)
Geographical area: Sandton, Gauteng
Salary range: R 270 000.00 – R 320 000.00 CTC pm

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Modify existing products and processes and develop new ones
Check and improve safety and quality control procedures, from the raw material stage through to the finished product
Select raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers
Prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products
Run trials of new products - either alongside or together with product development
Coordinate launches of new products
Deal with any customer complaint investigations or product issues
Compile, check and approve product specifications and labelling
Ensure products are profitable.

Minimum qualifications and experience:

National Diploma or higher in Food Technology
5 – 8 years experience as Food Technologist
3- 5 years experience in beverage industry
