Food Technologist

Do you love food and the science behind it all? Our client has an opportunity available for a Food Technologist based in Gauteng.

Requirements:

• A BSc in Food Science
• It would be helpful to have prior experience working in the food sector.
• A willingness to travel both domestically and abroad.
• Willingness to put in extra hours as and when needed.
• English communication abilities, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities:

• Product trials for brand-new items.
• Development of goods and new markets.
• Testing and evaluation of goods on-site as requested by customers.
• Development of new goods for butchers and large factories to open up new markets.
• Communicating with customers and senior food technologists.
• Providing technical advice to butchers, such as advice on product quality, production capacities, and the implementation of quality control/assurance systems to increase production output and product shelf life.
• Identifying potential new markets for new business and analyzing and reporting on sales leads connected to clients.
