JOB DESCRIPTION:

Do you love food and the science behind it all? Our client has an opportunity available for a Food Technologist based in Gauteng.

Requirements:

A BSc in Food Science
It would be helpful to have prior experience working in the food sector.
A willingness to travel both domestically and abroad.
Willingness to put in extra hours as and when needed.
English communication abilities, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities:

Product trials for brand-new items.
Development of goods and new markets.
Testing and evaluation of goods on-site as requested by customers.
Development of new goods for butchers and large factories to open up new markets.
Communicating with customers and senior food technologists.
Providing technical advice to butchers, such as advice on product quality, production capacities, and the implementation of quality control/assurance systems to increase production output and product shelf life.
Identifying potential new markets for new business and analyzing and reporting on sales leads connected to clients.
