JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a dynamic Financial Services Provider Based in Parktown seeks to employ a Fund Accountant – Employee Benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY OUTPUTS

All aspects of work must be at all times 100 percent correct
Monitor and reconcile Fund bank accounts daily
Request outstanding contribution information regularly
Reconcile contribution and outstanding contributions monthly
Calculate interest on outstanding contributions where applicable
Payment and reconciliation of all monthly payments e.g. admin fees re-insurance by monthly due dates
Payment and verification of ad hoc payment requests received
Monthly Income Tax reconciliation, payment and submission
Clearing of year end debtors and creditors
Investment of contributions in line with Fund cash flow policy
Monthly investment Cash Flow preparation
Weekly and monthly formal bank reconciliations
Quarterly Management Accounts preparation
Ensure filing is done daily and kept up to date
Attend and resolve al queries on the fund within reasonable time
Set up and maintain monthly control for payments
Preparation of working papers and annual financial statements
Ensure all work is completed as per agreed deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

At least two to three years'''''''' experience in an Accounting position, preferably in the Employee Benefits Industry
Ability to work under pressure and handle stress

Fluent in English, reading and writing
