Position: Accountant (Costing Focus)
Location: Isando, Johannesburg
Industry: Manufacturing
Salary: R 90 000 – R 100 000 CTC (including Medical Aid & Pension Fund)

Overview

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Isando, is seeking a highly skilled Accountant with strong costing experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial management, cost analysis, and reporting, while leading a team and reporting into an international structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Full financial accounting function, including monthly management accounts
• Detailed costing analysis, including product costing, variance analysis, and cost control
• Preparation and presentation of financial reports to local and international stakeholders
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Overseeing and improving costing systems and processes within the manufacturing environment
• Managing and developing a finance team
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
• Working closely with operations to drive cost efficiencies and profitability
• ERP system management and reporting (Syspro preferred)

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance
• Professional Accountant (SA) / Senior Accountant level
• CIMA qualification or currently studying towards CIMA (highly advantageous)
• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong costing experience is essential
• Experience working on Syspro or similar ERP systems
• Proven experience in people management / team leadership
• Experience reporting into an international / group structure
