Position: Accountant (Costing Focus)
Location: Isando, Johannesburg
Industry: Manufacturing
Salary: R 90 000 – R 100 000 CTC (including Medical Aid & Pension Fund)

Overview

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Isando, is seeking a highly skilled Accountant with strong costing experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial management, cost analysis, and reporting, while leading a team and reporting into an international structure.

Key Responsibilities

Full financial accounting function, including monthly management accounts
Detailed costing analysis, including product costing, variance analysis, and cost control
Preparation and presentation of financial reports to local and international stakeholders
Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Overseeing and improving costing systems and processes within the manufacturing environment
Managing and developing a finance team
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Working closely with operations to drive cost efficiencies and profitability
ERP system management and reporting (Syspro preferred)

Minimum Requirements

Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance
Professional Accountant (SA) / Senior Accountant level
CIMA qualification or currently studying towards CIMA (highly advantageous)
Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong costing experience is essential
Experience working on Syspro or similar ERP systems
Proven experience in people management / team leadership
Experience reporting into an international / group structure

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Additional Information

This role requires a hands-on individual who can operate both strategically and operationally
The successful candidate must be comfortable engaging with international stakeholders and working across different time zones
