POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Accounting & Period Close: Direct the comprehensive accounting cycle, managing month-end close workflows, adjusting journal entries, and annual statutory balance sheet reconciliations. Management Reporting & IFRS Compliance: Formulate accurate monthly management packs, operational performance metrics, and financial reports in strict accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Treasury & Foreign Cash Management: Oversee daily treasury activities, manage foreign exchange payments, perform bank reconciliations, and compile multi-currency cash flow forecasts. Taxation & Statutory Governance: Execute statutory compliance portfolios, ensuring timeous calculation and submission of VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory filings across operating entities. Forward Planning & External Audit Support: Assist financial leadership with annual budget compilations, rolling forecasts, variance analyses, and year-end audit schedules. Ad-Hoc Strategic Projects: Support continuous process engineering initiatives, SAP enhancements, and specialized group finance projects as required. Job Experience and Skills Required: Formal Education: A completed BCom Degree in Accounting or an equivalent tertiary financial qualification. Experience Track: A minimum of 5 years of solid, reference-backed experience managing the full-function accounting lifecycle within a complex corporate environment. Industry Domain: Proven exposure operating within the mining, extraction, heavy engineering, or manufacturing sectors is an essential requirement. Systems Mastery: Advanced hands-on operational experience utilizing SAP ERP software is highly advantageous, alongside advanced capability in Microsoft Excel.
