SUMMARY:

Litigation Attorney (3+ Years PQE) – Johannesburg

Our client, a well-established and fast-paced litigation practice based in Johannesburg, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their growing team.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Independently manage High Court and Magistrates’ Court litigation matters end-to-end
Draft pleadings, affidavits, applications, notices, and legal correspondence
Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and litigation strategies
Attend court appearances and manage all procedural steps in matters
Consult with clients and provide regular updates on matter progress
Manage debt collection and selective family law matters
Liaise with counsel, court officials, and third parties as required
Maintain full responsibility for file management, deadlines, compliance, and billing readiness

Requirements

Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Minimum 3 years PQE in litigation
Strong experience in High Court and Magistrates’ Court litigation
Solid drafting, research, and case management skills
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of matters
Strong work ethic with a focus on accountability and delivery
Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the office
Own transport and valid driver’s licence required
