SUMMARY:
A unique wilderness lodge and hospitality operation in the Cederberg region of the Western Cape is seeking an experienced and hands-on General Manager to lead all aspects of the business.

This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a remote environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high operational standards. The successful candidate will oversee accommodation operations, restaurant service, guest experiences, staff management, and financial performance while acting as the on-site custodian of the brand.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENT: - RSA ID and legal residence essential - Minimum 3 years' experience in a Lodge Manager or General Manager role within the hospitality industry - Strong leadership and team management skills - Extensive hospitality and guest service experience - Good financial management and budgeting ability - Culinary knowledge essential - Strong operational and organisational skills - Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities - Hands-on, adaptable, and solutions-driven approach - Ability to thrive in a remote wilderness environment - Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence - Valid Driver's License and own reliable vehicle advantageous - Hospitality qualification advantageous KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee the overall operation of the lodge, restaurant, and guest experience departments - Manage guest experiences from arrival to departure - Lead, supervise, and develop staff across all departments - Drive hospitality training and service excellence initiatives - Oversee restaurant operations and ensure food and service standards are maintained - Conduct regular inspections to ensure presentation and operational standards are upheld - Manage stock control, maintenance, vehicles, and guest facilities - Coordinate operational logistics, staffing schedules, and guest activities - Liaise with farm management and Head Office regarding operational requirements - Manage budgets, reporting, supplier relationships, and financial controls - Support lodge operations during emergencies and environmental challenges - Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and brand standards are maintained at all times PACKAGE: - R45,000 per month (Negotiable DOE) - Live-in accommodation provided - Meals included - 3 Weeks On \/ 1 Week Off work cycle LOCATION: Cederberg - Western Cape
