General Manager : Asset Management

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a General Manager : Asset Management, for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Honours degree in Commerce / Economics / Accounting Science / CA (SA)
• 10+ year relevant senior management experience of which 3 years must be senior management experience in the property sector
• Deep understanding of property assets
• Advanced financial management and analysis skills

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Manage asset management portfolio in line with strategic mandates and facilitate and implement an integrated strategy for creating an environment that will strengthen the organizations fixed asset base
• Develop / implement strategic and operational policies, asset management system / plans / policy development & communication
• Disposal and development of properties
• Operational oversight of the asset register
• Financial reporting
• Asset risk management, shareholder value retention and growth
• Management of the unit and its resources
