Overview
International private college (Tertiary Education) requires the expertise of a seasoned GM. As this is a small operation in South Africa, a hands-on, proactive approach to business is essential.

Minimum Requirements:
5 or more years’ experience within a senior/ mid management role (GM, Ops Manager etc)
Business related degree is preferred
Previous experience working within tertiary education preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:
Finance:
Track and monitor financial performance of the business unit (Budgets, financial presentations, cost and revenue analysis - take a close interest in financial performance, review of Annual Financial Statements)
Identify and implement cost saving initiatives where applicable
Understanding of Company taxes beneficial

Project Management
Track and drive projects with regular feedback to direct reports and key stakeholders
Projects include, but are not limited to Accreditation, partnerships and sales

Sales
Able to generate training leads through networking and research
Sales through partnerships with academic institutions and other channels both local and international
Support international student recruitment to international campus’
Work closely with the Marketing department and providers with regards to events and event coordination

General
Lead, motivate and support teams
Manage diverse teams in the business while working with international line managers for optimal performance of sales, marketing and support teams (30 staff in total)
Be proactive in resolving day to day issues to ensure 100% uptime of the business
Identify and retain staff in collaboration with line managers
Identify staff training needs and identify suitable training interventions
Attend and conduct various meetings as required in various areas related to the business
