General Manager: Management Support

SUMMARY:
A complex, highly governed national organisation is seeking a strategic, well-rounded leader with cross-functional depth to head its Management Support function.
 
You have proven experience operating across multiple disciplines and understand how each function drives overall business performance. You are able to integrate financial management, procurement, contracts, records, assets and administration into a cohesive, compliant and high-performing support environment.

This is not a “move fast and break things” environment. It demands maturity, foresight and disciplined execution within structured governance frameworks.
 
We are looking for a leader who can clearly demonstrate how they have enhanced business performance in complex, regulated environments with measurable impact.

POSITION INFO:
You must be able to:

• Oversee and manage multi-million rand budgets for multiple divisions.
• Strengthen financial controls and expenditure discipline.
• Improve reporting to enable informed executive decision-making.
• Drive implementation from concept through to execution.
• Bring cohesion to fragmented processes.
• Push initiatives forward when progress stalls.
• Operate confidently within structured governance frameworks.

• Project and capital expenditure oversight.
• Tightening financial management controls.
• Enhancing management reporting to support strategic decisions.

• An Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Business Management or equivalent.
• 8+ years’ experience in management support, including 5+ years in leadership.
• Strong financial management expertise.
• Procurement and contract governance exposure.
• Experience managing significant budgets.
