POSITION INFO:

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or related degree in agriculture.
• Production and business development experience in Agri-sector.
• 8 years proven experience in operational and middle management positions.
• In-depth industry and plant material knowledge with and understanding of micro propagation techniques, will be an advantage.
• Strategy, Financial and Analytical skills.
• Strong Leadership capabilities.
• Negotiation skills
• Excellent planning and organizational & coordination skills.
• Computer Literacy in full MS office package.
• Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse
• workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

• To take responsibility and accountability of all aspects relating to company’s operational
• management and execution of strategic/business plan.
• Develop, coordinate, manage and execute the production and marketing programme.
• Oversee and manage the company laboratory following international best practice.
• Execute the successful outgrowing and hardening – off of plant material for
• distribution.
• Develop local/ international networks for optimal acquisition of material for Tissue
• culture multiplication.
• Develop and commission a quarantine facility within company to ensure virus elimination
• and multiplication of plant material.
• Oversee the provision of site services as required.
• Building and managing stakeholder relations.
• Monitor performance and development improvement plans for existing projects.
• Identify government policies, strategies and incentives applicable to the sector and
• optimize access for beneficiaries.
• Ensure compliance with all related protocols and regulations involved in managing the
• entity/ business.
• Manage day to day administration task.
