JOB DESCRIPTION:

Highly reputable vehicle rental company known for delivering exceptional service seeks to employ an General Manager with sound knowledge of bulk chemical transport. Based in KZN. You will ensure that customers are receiving a cost effective, reliable and quality service at all times.

For the position you would be required to have:

Minimum of Matric/ Grade12
Tertiary qualification in logistics/transport management advantageous
Minimum of 4 years' experience in a management role in the transport industry
Knowledge/ experience of chemical tanker transport
P&L and budget management experience

Responsibilities would include you to:

Responsible for the day to day running of a transport business
Responsible for P & L
Ensure all targets are achieved namely, revenue, kilometres, fuel consumption
Manage and maintain KPI's
Analyse KPI's and instigate change for improvement
Ensure fleet compliance
Ensure fleet compatibility to client requirements
Ensure company meets SHEQ/HSE, safety and quality requirements
Ensure optimal planning and utilisation of fleet
Manage depot, facilities, workshop and wash bay
Attend and present at monthly management meetings
Format and present monthly management packs
