POSITION INFO:
Our client is a wellârun group organisation focused on precision, consistency, and continual improvement. They are seeking a Senior Technical Accounting & Governance Lead to provide specialist accounting expertise, drive compliance, and strengthen reporting processes across the group. Positioned at the core of the finance function, this role partners with business units, senior finance leaders, and auditors to manage technical accounting matters, oversee statutory reporting, and support strategic finance initiatives. It offers broad exposure, responsibility, and the ability to influence groupâwide financial standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead groupâwide compliance with IFRS and assess the impact of accounting standard changes
Develop, maintain, and enforce group accounting policies and frameworks
Act as the technical advisor on complex accounting and reporting matters
Oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and group reports
Drive the yearâend reporting process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Manage relationships with external auditors and support audit processes
Contribute to adâhoc group finance initiatives, including acquisitions and systems projects
Oversee control selfâassessment processes and internal governance structures

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) qualification
At least 5 years’ postâarticles experience
Extensive technical accounting and IFRS exposure
Group reporting or multiâentity experience beneficial
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Advanced Excel proficiency
High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
Ability to manage complexity and tight reporting deadlines
