POSITION INFO:
Our client is a mature, multiâentity organisation with a strong emphasis on governance, compliance, and reporting excellence. They are appointing a Group Financial Reporting & IFRS Specialist to serve as the central technical resource within the finance function, ensuring consistent application of accounting standards and highâquality statutory output across the group. You’ll work closely with finance teams, external auditors, and senior leadership to interpret new standards, manage complex accounting matters, and drive groupâwide reporting outcomes. This role offers autonomy, visibility, and meaningful involvement in strategic and technical finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee compliance with accounting standards across the group and assess the impact of new IFRS developments
Maintain and update group accounting policies in line with regulatory and operational changes
Provide technical accounting guidance to finance teams across multiple entities
Review and oversee statutory reporting, including AFS and group publications
Manage yearâend reporting processes, timelines, and deliverables
Coordinate and manage external audit engagements
Support groupâlevel finance projects, including systems enhancements and acquisition analysis
Manage group control selfâassessment and internal control frameworks

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Professionally qualified CA(SA)
Minimum of 5 years’ postâarticles experience
Strong background in technical accounting and statutory reporting
Experience within group or multiâentity environments advantageous
Proven ability to engage with auditors and senior stakeholders
Advanced Excel capability
Strong IFRS knowledge and technical interpretation skills
Excellent analytical ability with high attention to detail
Deadlineâdriven and processâfocused mindset
