Group Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
A compelling opportunity is available for a highly skilled Group Accountant in a listed company environment. This position focuses on group consolidations, the application of IFRS standards, and external financial reporting across various entities. It is ideally suited to a qualified CA(SA) with solid experience in group reporting who is looking to work within a complex and high-visibility reporting structure.

POSITION INFO:
Compile and present consolidated group financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis Manage group consolidation processes, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations Ensure adherence to IFRS, the Companies Act, and relevant financial reporting frameworks Prepare board reports, annual financial statements, and supporting group schedules Review and interpret financial data, identifying trends and providing insights to leadership Support the group budgeting and forecasting processes Assist with tax computations and the preparation of financial disclosures Facilitate the financial statement sign-off process and ensure regulatory compliance Engage with external auditors, addressing queries and coordinating audit requirements Maintain and enhance reporting frameworks and finance system hierarchies Offer technical accounting guidance on IFRS matters across the group Contribute to finance-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives Skills & Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a group reporting or consolidation-focused role Demonstrated experience in preparing group financial reports (essential requirement) Strong understanding and practical application of IFRS standards Background in a listed organisation, large corporate, or multi-entity structure Exposure to FMCG or Retail sectors would be beneficial Advanced proficiency in Excel with strong analytical skills Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet strict reporting timelines Qualification: CA(SA) - Non-negotiable For more information connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
