SUMMARY:
A leading group of companies based in Ormonde is seeking a detail-driven Group Accountant to support reporting, financial consolidation, IFRS compliance, treasury analysis, and special finance projects. If you're a newly qualified SAIPA or SAICA professional, with strong technical acumen and a flair for group reporting, then this is a rare opportunity to step into a multifaceted role that directly supports executive decision-making.

POSITION INFO:
Group Accountant – Special Finance Projects
ð Ormonde, Johannesburg
ð° R 540 000 to R 660 000.00 per annum

ð Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Consolidations:
- Assist with consolidated audit packs and standardise reporting across group entities
- Guide Financial Managers on IFRS compliance and financial statement preparation
- Draft annual financial statements and technical documentation for Auditors
Management Information & Forecasting:
- Compile monthly management reports and flash reports
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate financial anomalies
- Support financial forecasting and business performance analysis
Group Secretarial & Governance:
- Draft resolutions, Board packs, and shareholder registers
- Coordinate Board meetings, take minutes, and liaise with the CIPC
Treasury & Liquidity Oversight:
- Analyse weekly cash flow and liquidity
- Maintain banking relationships and ensure funding availability
- Develop and enforce treasury policies and controls
Special Projects:
- Lead ad hoc financial analysis and support corporate transactions
- Provide IFRS guidance across the group
- Assist with accounting for smaller subsidiaries

â Requirements:

BCom Accounting Degree (Honours preferred)
SAIPA or SAICA membership (newly qualified)
Strong understanding of IFRS and corporate governance
Excellent Excel and reporting skills
Analytical mindset and proactive problem-solver
