Group Accountant

POSITION INFO:
This well-established property group, based in Johannesburg, is known for its diverse real estate portfolio and robust investment strategy. With a turnover exceeding R 300 million, the company plays a significant role in shaping the property landscape through commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. The business prides itself on sustainable growth, innovation, and financial transparency.

As the Group Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Manager and take full responsibility for the consolidation of financial results across multiple entities. Your role will involve preparing consolidated management and statutory reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and supporting the audit process. You will also be involved in budgeting, variance analysis, and driving process improvements within the finance function. Your solid consolidations experience and technical accounting knowledge will be instrumental in delivering timely and accurate group financial information.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Completed SAICA articles (preferably from a medium to large audit firm).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a group consolidations role.
• Experience consolidating a portfolio with a turnover of R 300 million or more.
• BCom Accounting Degree
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and group reporting standards.
• Experience with financial systems such as CaseWare, SAP, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail, deadline-driven, and analytical mindset.
