SUMMARY:
Riverhorse Valley. A well-established company is looking for a Group Accountant to join their team. If you have a strong background in financial accounting within a high-volume, import / export environment, we want to hear from you!

POSITION INFO:

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting experience
Proven experience working with import / export transactions
Completed BCom Degree in Financial Accounting + Honours
Proficient in Sage Evolution software
Advanced Excel skills essential

Key Responsibilities:

Posting of all journal entries
Cashbook reconciliations
Compiling monthly management accounts and providing insightful analysis
Processing of foreign currency transactions
Managing and supervising the accounts department including Debtors, Creditors, Cashbook and Financial Administrator, and Payroll
Liaising with banks, SARS, and auditors
Preparing and monitoring expense budgets
Monthly sales vs. targets performance analysis
Inventory trend analysis: fast movers, slow movers, dead stock
Reviewing daily sales to identify losses or low gross profit, investigating causes
Compiling daily sales and inventory reports for management and Directors
