SUMMARY:
A leading FMCG group is seeking a highly skilled Group Consolidations Accountant to support accurate and timely financial reporting at a group level within a fast-paced, listed environment.

POSITION INFO:
An established and well-recognised player in the FMCG industry is looking to appoint a Group Consolidations Accountant within their Group Finance function. This role is integral to ensuring high-quality consolidated reporting across a diverse portfolio of businesses operating across multiple regions.

This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong finance professional who thrives in structured, high-compliance environments and is looking to grow their expertise in group reporting and consolidations within a JSE listed setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly consolidated financial results in accordance with IFRS
Perform inter-company eliminations and review inputs from business units
Assist with the preparation of annual consolidated financial statements
Support audit processes and engage with Internal and External Auditors
Assist with drafting commentary and analysis for Board and executive reporting
Maintain financial controls and drive improvements in the consolidation process

Qualifications & Experience:

CA(SA) qualification is essential
2–4 years post-articles experience in a group reporting, consolidations, or external audit role
Previous exposure to listed entities and consolidation systems (e.g., HFM, SAP BPC, or similar) preferred
In-depth knowledge of IFRS and strong attention to detail
Ability to manage tight deadlines and collaborate with multiple stakeholders
