POSITION INFO:
A leading global organisation with a strong footprint across Africa is seeking a Group Accountant to take ownership of the group consolidation and reporting function. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation packs and reporting submissions.
• Manage consolidation journals, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency translations.
• Support the preparation of group financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Assist with statutory reporting, audit processes, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ensure accurate reporting across multiple subsidiaries and support finance teams with reporting queries.
• Maintain and improve consolidation models, reporting templates, and group reporting processes.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

• CA(SA) (Non-negotiable)

Experience:

• Minimum 3–6 years post-articles experience in group reporting / consolidations
• Proven exposure to consolidations within financial services, banking, insurance, asset management, or similar regulated industries
• Experience working with multiple entities and complex group structures

Skills:

• Strong IFRS technical knowledge (consolidations essential)
• Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable)
• Exposure to consolidation tools / ERP systems (Hyperion / SAP / Oracle / OneStream advantageous)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines
