POSITION INFO:
This long-standing manufacturing group operates multiple business units across South Africa and is recognised for its ability to adapt to changing market conditions while maintaining a focus on quality, innovation, and operational efficiency. The organisation is on a growth and optimisation journey, requiring a strategic finance leader who can balance enterprise-wide vision with hands-on operational execution.
As the Group CFO, you will report directly to the CEO and take responsibility for the full financial strategy, governance, and performance of the group. Your portfolio will include financial planning, reporting, treasury, taxation, budgeting, internal audit, and IT strategy. You will lead a high-performing finance team, manage relationships with stakeholders including investors and auditors, and ensure that governance, compliance, and risk management remain robust. This role demands a leader with a track record in business turnaround, cost optimisation, and unlocking value in competitive, cost-sensitive markets.
Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 7 or higher.
• At least 10 years’ senior-level financial management experience across multiple operations.
• Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, results-driven manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated success in strategic financial planning, capital structuring, and working capital optimisation.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, corporate governance (King IV, Companies Act), and regulatory reporting.
• Strong understanding of operational cost drivers, pricing strategy, and value chain management.
• Experience in managing IT strategy, ERP systems, and integrating technology into decision-making processes.
• Skilled in risk management, internal controls, and stakeholder engagement.
• A turnaround mindset with a history of driving margin expansion and long-term business growth.
