Group Chief Operations Officer - Flexible and Rigid Plastic Manufacturing Industry

SUMMARY:
A well-known Plastics Manufacturing Group requires the Above to be responsible for ensuring that the business has effective operational processes, controls, reporting and people in place to maximise operational efficiency while manage risk and meeting growth objectives.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Commercial or related field is preferred.
• Previous experience having worked as a successful COO in the Plastics (Rigid and Flexible) Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain Industry is essential. 
• Previous experience Managing and Driving growth areas in Africa is preferred.
• The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skill, with the ability to work effectively under pressure, to identify opportunities, set out plans, and execute them effectively.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing and driving the Operation of the Business, provide leadership and support, ensuring awareness and commitment to the Company’s vision and strategy.
• Managing and overseeing Financial Key Performance Indicators, Tax compliance, Budgeting and Finance statutory to ensure business sustainability.
• Reviewing financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions and improvements.
• Manage and lead the Company in all Commercial and Contractual matters, developing and maintaining good working relationships with Clients and Partners.
• Provide support to the implementation of World Class Manufacturing expansion on New Technologies, support establishment of new conversion locations.
• Strategically drive high-quality investing decisions, introduce and roll out best-practice manufacturing, and planning systems that drive to achieve increase profits, growth targets and strategies for the Company.
• Optimise the QMS and quality related KPA’s in line with Company targets.
• Enforce adherence to legal guidelines, in-house policies, to maintain the Company’s legality and business ethics.
• Monitor, upgrade and implement SHE tools systems as a corporate governance measure to safeguard reliable and lawful work environments across all Plants.
• Lead and direct Operations for all Business Units and Group Divisions, reporting directly into the role, as well as steering multiple Manufacturing Operations.
